Brewbound’s first Brew Talks meetup of 2015 is set to kick off at tonight at the Harpoon Brewery Beer Hall in Boston. The event will offer more than 100 beer industry professionals an intimate opportunity to network and discuss the business of beer over a few cold beverages.
For those unable to attend Brew Talks in person, we’ve made available a free live video steam the evening’s two panel discussions, which will begin at 5:30 P.M. EST.
Tuesday’s first talk, moderated by Brewbound editor Chris Furnari, will feature Boston’s most innovative brewers and bar managers in a conversation about the city’s beer scene. Jean-Claude Tetreault, the founder of Boston’s third production brewery, Trillium, will join Row 34’s Megan Parker-Gray and Cisco Brewers’ national sales director Peter Burke in a conversation on building a beer culture in Boston.
Later, Harpoon Brewery co-founder Dan Kenary will join Ted Clark, the executive professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at Northeastern and Derek Nemeth, a craft brewery angel investor and advisor, in a discussion on the various types of exit strategies for craft brewers.
In addition to hosting conversations with local beer industry experts, Brewbound will also be raising funds for Harpoon Helps, the brewery’s philanthropic arm. 100 percent of the suggested contribution proceeds ($10 – $100) will be donated to Harpoon Helps.
New England-based beer industry professionals still hoping to attend Brew Talks Boston are encouraged to register prior to arrival.
About Brew Talks:
Since hosting our first event in the basement of a craft beer bar in Boston in 2013, the meetup series has developed into a multi-city tour where beer industry professionals can come together inside of some of the country’s most recognizable craft breweries and share business insights with one another. In less than two years, we’ve hosted 19 meetups, in 15 U.S. cities, and connected with thousands of individuals from all tiers of the industry. The events are also broadcast globally via a free live stream. Brew Talks Boston is sponsored by Owens-Illinois, Rehrig Pacific Company and Vicinity Brew.
