POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to provide dynamic leadership to our self-distribution/Wholesale team and overall organization, to excel in customer relationships, and to creatively enhance and grow our wholesale distribution business.


The Wholesale Team builds and drives the Odell Brewing and The OBC Wine Project portfolios and brand culture throughout our home market of Larimer County in Colorado, where we self-distribute. The General Manager will be focused on executing the strategic sales vision through effective leadership and operational efficiency. This role will be responsible to achieve volume, revenue, and sales results through exceptional people and systems management of the distribution operations. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and lead all aspects of the sales and delivery function for the wholesale division, while maintaining excellent working relationships with customers and cross functional internal teams
  • Execute long term Strategic Vision within all assigned channels in the marketplace
  • Maintain the wholesale operational budget
  • Develop efficient route management practices to ensure on-time delivery and optimize internal resources
  • Lead and support direct reports effectively by clearly communicating roles and responsibilities, expectations, and deliverables
  • Ensure ethical business practices and compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Hire, train, coach, and motivate direct reports to deliver maximum impact in the market, including Pre-sales Team, Driver Supervisor, and Merchandisers
  • Maintain proper organizational structure and staffing levels
  • Regularly work with direct reports in the market and provide constructive and actionable feedback for development and growth
  • Create and cultivate an inclusive environment for co-workers, customers, and community members


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  • At least 5 years sales/business experience 
  • 3 or more years with distribution experience
  • 3 or more years in a leadership/managerial position
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in education plus experience 
  • Experience with relevant sales analytics to provide insight for pricing and discount levels to achieve margin goals
  • Proficiency and experience using a CRM system 
  • Strong understanding of retailer relationships, 3- tier system, & marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal & leadership skills including written & verbal presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite; CRM (Karma); and iDig/VIP 
  • Ability to work late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed to support sales activities
  • Must reside in Larimer County or willing to relocate within 30 days
  • Valid state driver’s license in good standing is required

COMPENSATION 

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.


Annual Salary Range:

$88,000 - $120,000
