Job Summary


The candidate’s mission is to manage staff at Beach Haven NJ location. This position involves

scheduling and managing staff that will be pouring, selling and educating potential customer on

the Ship Bottom Brewery Brands, Brewery, and lifestyle. The Assistant Manager will also

organize all beer and merchandise inventory at Beach Haven location. Ship Bottom Brewery will

transition to a hybrid model of bar and table service in an effort to increase customer

satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Owner of the Brewery while maintaining an

open working relationship with all levels of the Ship Bottom Brewery Team. This is a full-time

position. Workdays and hours will vary between weekdays, weekends, days, and nights

however. Weekends sifts will be required!


Key Responsibilities


Be customer facing at all times (be on top of stairs greeting, in tasting room interacting

with customers)

Help bartenders service customers when tasting room is busy

Bus tables and clean glassware whenever dirty or empty glassware is on tables.

Assist with hiring and training staff

Provide coverage if there are call outs

Advocate all Ship Bottom Brewery Brands

Maintain a clean/spotless work environment (includes tasting room, stair/foyer area,

brewery hallway & bathrooms)

Work with Production team to open front brewery hallway and other brewery areas to

provide extra space for customers when available.

Create/manage custom events to increase retail revenue

Work with Upper Management to increase Retail sales

Manage inventory in walk-in cooler and maintain cleanliness of walk-in space

Place daily beer orders for tasting room (draft & package goods)

Increase sales ticket average for customers

Provide cash management service- deliver bank deposits daily & enter in cash log

Coordinate Beer Deliveries with Logistics Manager

Help create new merchandise ideas for brewery

Daily Inventory Management for all Beer & Merchandise

Drive brand awareness

Help staff all New Jersey Beer Events

Assist in the sales of all Brands at events

Maintain professional interaction with both customers and fellow employees

Help customers make purchases by providing brand information.

Contribute to team effort by assisting in activities, as needed

Maintain proper cleaning schedule & distribute tasks accordingly per shift.

Schedule/book music, other entertainment & upload to events calendar

Assist with canning when needed

Ensure Beach Bags are fully stocked in Freezer before and during busy days

Daily inventory prep & stocking before shifts

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Business degree preferred

RAMP Alcohol Certification

Demonstrated knowledge of Brands

Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction

Staff Management Expertise

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment

Reliable Transportation

Solid Math Skills

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Proficient in MS office with solid analytical skills

Articulate in the English language, both verbally and in writing

Attention and accuracy to detail

Must have valid driver's license

Must be over 21 Years of Age

Work weekday and weekend hours (Tuesday & Wednesday would be off days)

Would have the ability to work 1 Bartending shifts during the busy season to

make tips (Shifts could be on a weekend or weekday)
