OLA BREW YARD SUMMER CONCERT SERIES is back for another round...

For July we're stoked to welcome THROUGH THE ROOTS, LIKKLE JORDEE, and NAI HEFFERNAN AND FRIENDS, bringing us all the good vibes from 6:30pm til pau.

We'll also be dishing up ono food from Tree House Collective, Aloha Grinds, and yours truly - Ola Brew.

About Through The Roots:

Few things ever grow tall without roots. For the members of Through The Roots, it took a decade of inspired songwriting and heavy touring to develop the band’s unique sound: a modern blend of roots reggae, hip-hop, rock, and electronic pop. It’s a sound that nods to the band’s diverse influences while also reaching far beyond them, and it began humbly enough, with the guys hosting their own backyard shows in college towns across Southern California.

Word spread. Crowds grew. Through The Roots bought a renovated school bus and hit the road hard, graduating from college frat parties to larger clubs, building their audience, show by energetic show. Throughout it all, the band kept writing and exploring new sounds, working their way towards a truly unique sound that blended tradition with technology.

In 2020, Through The Roots joined Ineffable Records, aiming to put forward their best work yet with their new genre bending album "Departure"

"Departure,” produced by Jamaica's own J.L.L (Jean Andre Lawrence) and TTR, is the most sonically ambitious album to date. Along with the upgraded soundscapes, "Departure" boasts a feature-heavy tracklist with appearances by Dirty Heads, Pepper, and Katastro (U.S.), Jesse Royal, Lutan Fyah, Runkus, and Iotosh (Jamaica), Yung L (Nigeria), Eli-Mac and Likkle Jordee (Hawaii).

About Likkle Jordan:

Likkle Jordee is a reggae artist and songwriter from Mililani, Hawai'i. Jordee, born Jordan-Jayce Ramirez started singing at 13 years old. It wasn’t until 2012 when Jordee started songwriting and recording. 2014, he was founded by Tuli Ranks of NewCatPosse who introduced him to the undiscovered world of reggae ranging from the 60’s-late 80’s.

Discovered by Eli-Mac in 2016 and featured on her latest album ‘Tricky One’ with their single titled ‘Nighttime Session’. April 2019, he released his first album/EP ‘Brand New’ produced by Pana.

Jordee has performed with some of Hawai'i’s household names: Eli-Mac, The Green, Collie Budz, Josh Tatofi, Fia and more. Known for his small stature but yet “big sound” it reminds you of that old time something.

About Nai Heffernan:

Our MC for our June Concert is back for another jam! Nainoa (Nai) Heffernan, also known by his stage name Braddah Jeffrehhh, is a Native Hawaiian musician, comedian and entrepreneur based here on the Big Island. We're stoked to have him hosting (and performing!) during another night of great live music right here in beautiful Kailua-Kona.
