Brewport Celebrates Last Day of 1st Anniversary Weekend with Lot Fest on Sunday, Apr. 22nd

Brewport Tap House’s one-year anniversary is drawing near on Friday, April 20th and we’ve got a full weekend’s worth of activities planned to celebrate the occasion.

The weekend’s events get under way on Friday, April 20th, as we conduct Beer School on our back patio from 6pm to 8pm, where we’ll be expounding on just what goes into the making of craft beer, what differentiates the available varieties, as well as some of the other finer points of the brewing process. Admission is free.

We’ll be conducting raffles for a variety of prizes throughout the evening (as well as the entire weekend), and the opening day will also be marked by the exclusive release of three of our own specially made beers resulting from Brewport Partner Gina Traber's collaboration with two Southern California breweries -- Brewport’s first foray into creating its own offerings -- including two varieties made in conjunction with L.A. Ale Works in Hawthorne that will only be available at Brewport and LA Ale Works' own tap room, and an additional collaboration with Chapman Brewing in Orange, CA.

We’ll also be tapping exclusive releases from neighboring local breweries, including two from LA Ale Works (both of which will be the only supply of their kind in the Los Angeles area), one from State Brewing Co. in Gardena and one from Three Weavers in Inglewood.

The celebration will continue on Saturday, April 21st with Brewport’s Wine Academy from 2pm to 5pm, where our featured participants, among which will be J Lohr Winery, Michael David Winery and Constellation Brands, will elaborate on the winemaking craft and conduct tastings of more than a dozen of their finest selections for $10. The event will be hosted by Brewport’s own Pat Cox, whose experience in the wine industry spans four decades.

?Our normal menu will be available to purchase during this time, and there will be cheese and crackers on hand for Academy attendees, who will also receive a 12oz. stemless Brewport glass to take home.

All wines presented will be on sale by the bottle, and while we’ll have a limited amount of the event’s offerings on hand for purchase on site, customers will also have the opportunity to pre-order a selection of their favorites with a minimum purchase of 3 bottles of any one wine. All wines ordered will be available for pickup any time after Brewport opens its doors the following Thursday, April 26th.

The celebratory weekend draws to a close on Sunday, April 22nd with Lot Fest, an outdoor celebration on Brewport’s adjacent parking lot. We’ll be featuring no fewer than 8 limited or special release craft beers, as well as live music, games, and a variety of barbeque options created by Brewport’s own Executive Chef, Andrew Fujii. Admission to Lot Fest is free.
