Fort Point beer paradise hosts a fin-tastic night of sharks, snacks & sips

On July 23, City Tap House in Fort Point will celebrate the kickoff of The Discovery Channel’s 19th season of the sensation “Shark Week” by taking a dive into the deep blue and serving up a collection of themed specials. The opening night programming – including showdowns between Michael Phelps and the Great White as well as sharks and crocodiles – will play on City Tap’s 11 HDTVs, including three mammoth 80-inch screens, while fin-fans snack on a complimentary “bread service” of Goldfish crackers. In addition to tapping a keg of Cisco Brewer’s Shark Tracker lager ($7 per pint), the bar team will be shaking up the sharable Shark Attack cocktail with Absolut Lime, lemongrass syrup, elderflower liqueur, blue curaçao, Red Bull Blue Edition and lime juice, garnished with gummy sharks ($22). For those looking to conquer this sea beast on land during a surprise attack, there is a dinner special of blood orange-marinated Grilled Mako with pineapple seaweed salad, Sriracha-honey beurre blanc and oyster mushroom risotto ($27).
