Beer & Oysters on the Sound is a tasting event that brings together the bounty of the land and sea.

The New Haven Land Trust's beer and oyster fest is back for a third year, bigger than before and in a new location! Beer & Oysters on the Sound is a fun tasting event that brings together the bounty of the land and sea to celebrate the success of another great season. Join us on Sunday, September 17 from 4-7pm at the Lighthouse Point Park Carousel, 2 Lighthouse Road in New Haven, CT. The event is family-friendly with group and VIP packages available.

Savor Norm Bloom's Copps Island Oysters and sample a growing selection of local beer, including Back East Brewery, Black Hog, Brenner Brothers' Brewery, Firefly Hollow, Hanging Hills, No Worries, Stony Creek, Counterweight and much more.

The event also features music from Stacy Phillips and His Bluegrass Characters, and the historic Lighthouse Point Carousel will be running and available for rides.

New to the celebration this year is an informative and interactive tasting experience. VIP guests can sit along the shore of Long Island Sound and enjoy an exclusive selection of drinks hand-picked to complement a dozen freshly shucked oysters. The VIP is a great way to learn about the local oyster industry and the flavor profiles of local varieties, as well as how to pair oysters with popular libations. Special VIP guests speakers include the wine experts from The Wine Thief and founder of Armada Brewing Company Johnny Kraszewski.

This event is made possible through generous support from Yale New Haven Health, CMHC, Fusco Management Co., RE/MAX, Yale Office of New Haven and State Affairs, Bankwell, The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, Suzio York Hill, Betsy Grauer Realty, & Webster Bank.
