Hazel Park, MI – Cellarmen’s celebrates its first Mead Day with new small batch mead releases this Saturday, August 6. Mead Day, observed each year on the first Saturday in August, is the day set aside by the American Homebrewers Association to drink and revel in all things mead.
Special releases include:
- Swamp Water is a cucumber sweet basil mead made with 100% Michigan sourced ingredients, including biodynamically grown basil from Detroit-based ROI urban farms
- A very limited run of dry raspberry mead fermented in Motor City Gas whiskey barrels
- Other surprise mead releases throughout the day
All mead releases will be available by the glass, or in 32oz crowlers to-go from noon until midnight. Local stand-up comics will be providing entertainment starting at 8pm, $5 at the door.
