About Mike Hess Brewing:

Mike Hess Brewing of San Diego (MHB) is renowned for its commitment to quality, community, and innovation. As we expand to our new 32,500 sq ft brewery and beer garden within the West Harbor LA project, we aim to replicate our San Diego brewery's success and ethos, making it a landmark destination for beer lovers.

The Role:

Our new facility, featuring a CRU Manufacturing three-vessel steam brewhouse with rakes, eight 30bbl fermenters, twenty 15/30bbl serving tanks, and a high degree of automation including an auto grain out augering system, is in search of a Head Brewer. This position offers the opportunity to take the helm of a cutting-edge brewing operation, lead a passionate team, and craft beers that embody our core values.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of professional brewing experience, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.

- Bachelor’s degree or Professional Certificate in Brewing Science, Fermentation Science, or related field is preferred.

- Demonstrated success in recipe development and process optimization.

- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on team development and workplace culture.

- A passion for craft beer and community engagement.
