Head Brewer

Job responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

Brewery Operations

-     Completes all brewing, fermenting, filtering, carbonating, bottling, and kegging operations for Wagner beers.

-     Coordinates and schedules brewing to maximize efficiency and ensure a consistent supply of all beers.

-     Executes all brewery Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

-     Maintains strict quality standards throughout the brewery

-     Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation in the brewery.

-     Ensures safe operation of forklift for shipping and receiving.

-     Maintains all brewery equipment.

-     Maintains appropriate beer inventories, based on sales depletions.

-     Fulfills all wholesale beer orders.

-     Monitors and reports bottled and kegged beer inventories.

-     Monitors and reports inventory of brewing ingredients and beer packaging materials, and re-orders as necessary.

-     Monitors inventory for all brewery chemicals, gases, and other supplies & reorders as necessary.

-     Coordinates communication with wholesalers / retail accounts.

-     Performs recordkeeping for all mandatory reporting, and prepares other reports and spreadsheets when necessary.

Supervision/Leadership

-     Supervises bottling crew and part-time assistants, as needed.

-     Trains in-house staff on the Company’s beers, as needed.

-     Communicates with our other areas of business (winery, café, retail, and farm) to ensure collaborative working relationships.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

This position may require work on weekends, some holidays and overtime, as necessary.


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: dependent on experience & training

Typical schedule:

-     8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Education:

-     High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

-     Brewing: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

-     Fork-lift training certification (Preferred)
