Warehouse Tech and Delivery Driver

Wayfinder is a vaguely sinister, lager-centric brewery and restaurant located in the Central Eastside Industrial District of Portland, Oregon and is committed to making compelling and clean lagers and ales. 

We are growing and looking for a team player who can help us keep our warehouse organized, and help with deliveries. Ideal candidates will have a sparkling clean driving record, be outgoing with a positive attitude and an interest in craft beer. We’re a very small, collaborative team and will be looking to hire on personality and willingness to learn and contribute. The position is full time 40 hours a week, M-F, with occasional overtime. Typical shift is 7a-3p.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Live, breathe, eat, sleep, fight Wayfinder’s epic family of beers
• Transfer and organize finished beer between brewery and cold storage facility. Tetris for beer lovers
• Manage off site cold storage facility
• Inventory management of cold storage facility
• Build self distro orders, daily. Help keep Portland hydrated!
• Build distributor orders, and coordinate pickups
• Load delivery van 
• Deliver to Brewery and taproom weekly
• Make local deliveries
• Route deliveries so time is maximized
• This is customer facing, so courtesy and a helpful attitude are a must
• Help maintain vehicle fleet
• Drive like hell! But safely, and legally
• Brewery Warehousing
• Work with Brewmaster on brewery needs
• Keep brewery swept and warm storage organized
• Raw Material Pick up
• Assist with canning on Fridays
• Maintain clear and consistent communication to ensure goals and deadlines are met
• Work occasional odd hours, including late nights and weekends
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be forklift certified. Like, walk-in-the-door-and-be-able-to-operate-both-a-sit-down-and-stand-up-forklift certified.
• Organized and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills
• Oregon Driver’s license and clean driving record. 
• Customer service and positive attitude! You’ll be face to face with our retail customers, cold storage customers, and fellow employees
• Must be self-motivated, trustworthy and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with limited direction or supervision
• Willingness to work flexible and extended hours (including occasional evenings and weekends)
• Preferred experience with EKOS
• Can’t be alarmed by random “hail satan” chants

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high
• Lift 75 lbs. from ground to waist high
• Moving 150 lbs. along the floor, removed from a truck and maneuvered with a hand truck
• Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders
• Work in small and cramped spaces
• Work in a loud environment with basic safety accommodations
• Follow safety guidelines and adhere to PPE standards
