Logo for Fauve Craft Bière

Fauve Craft Bière is a French brewery based in Paris and Montpellier. Our motto is "Craft / Science / Art": we have a scientific and artistic approach, for craft beer:

  • Craft: artisanal beers often exuberant to push the limits of craft, and sometimes subtle to respect the nobility of certain historical styles (Saison, Lagers, etc.), but always without compromise on taste and quality.
  • Science: a scientific approach to create quality beers, but above all consistently high quality throughout the year.
  • Art: ultra-colorful cans, all illustrated by different artists, with an impactful visual universe.

Our Story

We started by launching a "brewpub" in the 11th district of Paris: "Les Cuves de Fauve" a restaurant / craft beer bar / microbrewery, where we brew our beers on-site. They are poured directly from serving tanks (positioned in the middle of the restaurant) for optimal beer quality, especially for fragile beers like IPAs that need to be tasted fresh. Yes, we DDH, but we also brew more "classic" beers, including our Kölsch, which is currently very popular there. It's our flagship where we regularly organize events to promote our brand, especially with French and international breweries with whom we regularly collaborate.

Then, we opened a second microbrewery in the suburbs of Montpellier (South of France, super sunny!), where we produced over 100 different "Fauve" beers sold in France and abroad. We attach particular importance to ephemeral beers that allow us to innovate, while always offering more new products and a taste experience that goes beyond the ordinary. We are very close to our suppliers of malts, hops, and yeasts, who regularly offer us the opportunity to test their latest products in advance. We have also developed a well-established barrel-aged beer program which allows us to add an additional dimension to our brewing work and make it even more exciting! We're now working hard on a mixed fermentation program that we should release soon for the first time.

Thus, thanks to this approach focused on ephemeral beers, we consider ourselves as a generalist and versatile brewery. While we are proud of the few beers from our core range, we strive to offer a maximum of novelties throughout the year, without closing any doors, and specializing in 4 beer families:

  1. "Classic" beers: Pils, Hefeweizen, Märzen, Kölsch, Saison, etc.
  2. Hoppy beers: Pale Ale, NEIPA, Double IPA, Triple IPA, etc. (always with generous amounts of hops)
  3. Fruited sours: Berliner Weisse, Gose, Pastry Sour, etc. (just as generous in fruit)
  4. High-gravity beers: Imperial Stouts, Barley Wines, etc. of which some are aged in a variety of barrels (Bourbon, Rum, Port, Cognac, Whiskey, etc.)

We now have the opportunity to participate in the best craft beer festivals in France and to be invited to events abroad that allow us to gain recognition on a European scale: MASH in Barcelona (Garage), What’s Brewing in Norway (Lervig), Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend in Estonia (Pohjala), Springwell Sessions in England (North Brewing Co.), Beer Geek Madness in Poland, etc.

Finally, for brewers who are interested, we also have a particularly arty visual universe: all our labels are illustrated by different artists to offer beers as beautiful as they are good.

We're Hiring!

We are launching a brand new state-of-the-art 40hL brewery from scratch and we need to increase the team with more senior positions.

We are looking for our future Lead Brewer / Experienced Brewer in a full-time permanent position to strengthen our Production team under the direction of Cyprien, our co-founder and Head Brewer. The position is based in our new production brewery in the suburbs of Montpellier (please note: the position is NOT located at our brewpub in Paris but in Montpellier).

Your Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of production, from milling to packaging, including hot and cold sides: grain management, brewing, fermentation/lagering monitoring, dry-hopping, fruit/spice additions, centrifugation, hopgun, cleaning, CIP, packaging, quality control, barrel aging cellar, etc.
  • Assist the master brewer with various administrative tasks: production planning, orders, improving ergonomics in the brewery, logistics, etc.
  • Ensure the proper application of protocols for all stages of production by team members on a day-to-day basis.
  • Contribute to the brewery's R&D efforts.
  • Represent Fauve at craft beer festivals in France and abroad to toast with our brewer friends from around the world and be the best ambassador for the beers we brew.

You

  • You have several years of solid brewing experience, ideally with experience leading a team of brewers.
  • Specific training in brewing or fermentation processes is a plus, a scientific background is always useful, but production experience is essential!
  • Your previous experience(s) have made you a perfectly autonomous brewer.
  • Craft beer runs in your veins: we can talk BJCP, breweries, and beer styles until late at night over a BBA Barley Wine…
  • You have a critical opinion about the beers you brew, with a focus on continuous improvement: you are proactive, you like to take initiatives, and you are proactive in proposing improvements to our recipes, processes, and working conditions.
  • You are curious, enthusiastic, creative, and determined... but you are also rigorous and can concentrate when necessary.
  • Bonus if you are handy because our small machines sometimes surprise us, and it's always useful to know how to handle a screwdriver like a pro.
  • If you speak French fluently, it's even better!
  • You are naturally smiling, positive, and cheerful.
  • You want to join a craft and colorful brewery that never compromises on taste.
  • You are available to join the Fauve team as soon as possible!

Why Join Fauve Now?

  • To be part of a dynamic and full of ideas young brewery (and which only offers truly craft beers)
  • To participate in the development of a brand you can be proud of because you will have a key role in the beers we brew.
  • To add many ideas to the 1000 ideas we already have in mind and that we are ready to deploy in the coming months.
  • Because you will brew novelties constantly… and you will continuously improve our regular beers.
  • Because you will learn a lot and continuously improve.
  • Because at Fauve, it's always the right time for an "aperitif"!

It's your turn!

Sending us your CV to recrutement@fauvebiere.com is cool! Sending a short video of yourself, maximum 3 minutes, with the following 3 points, is even better! (No pressure, directly from your smartphone)

  1. Tell us about yourself and your experience up to now, emphasizing something particular that you loved doing in one of your previous experiences.
  2. Tell us about 3 beers/beer styles that you appreciate and/or that you would like to brew for Fauve.
  3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
