Brewbound Session: The Growing Consumer App-etite for Drizly

Cory Rellas

It’s no secret that today’s consumers are glued to their mobile devices. More than 80 million U.S. smartphone users will download at least one mobile app in 2015 and most of those users will spend as many as 30 hours per month actively engaged inside of an app.

So what does that mean for brewery owners? For one, it’s an incredible opportunity to sell some beer.

That’s why Brewbound has invited Cory Rellas, the chief operating officer of Drizly Inc., a leading on-demand alcohol delivery app, to present at the upcoming Chicago Brewbound Session on June 11.

Much like Uber changed the way people travel, Drizly hopes to change the way legal drinking age consumers purchase beer, wine and spirits. Since launching in 2013, the company, led by Rellas, has raised more than $17 million in funding, expanded into 15 major metropolitan markets and grown to 42 full-time employees.

At the Brewbound Session, Rellas will share the Drizly story, explain how craft brewers can tap into this emerging retail opportunity and capitalize on the convenience of on-demand alcohol delivery apps while acquiring new customers.

The Brewbound Session, which is being held at Moonlight Studios in Chicago, is a full-day conference addressing the challenges of scaling a business in an increasingly competitive craft brewing sector. Next month’s event features an outstanding lineup of industry experts and highlights some of the most important issues facing craft brewery owners today.

Our full agenda is available and is packed with a swath of presentations and panel discussions.
