LA Weekly's "Best New Brewery" of 2016, Brouwerij West Celebrates One Year

BREAKFUNCH: 11am – 3pm A special beer tasting and brunch event. Taste some of Brouwerij West’s as-yet unreleased mixed fermentation beers as well as exclusive variations of classics, pulled-out-of-the-cellar first-year favorites & more. Tickets are $30 online at breakfunch.eventbrite.com ($40 day of/at-the-door) and include 10 4-oz tasters and a commemorative glass. Brunch food will be available for purchase from the Urban Espresso Truck (plus other food trucks and, at 2pm, from the Pig Roast). The Tasting Room will be open at the usual 12pm for regular customers.

Shady Grove Foods (Long Beach) will be slow-roasting a whole pig in the courtyard starting early in the morning and ready to serve at 2pm. The pig will be roasted in a pomegranate reduction and served on steamed buns, along with ginger scallion rice and seasonal vegetables. Cost is $15 per plate. There will also be other food trucks on-site, including Tomski Sausage, District Burger, Cocina Fresca, and LA Cake.

FREE LIVE MUSIC: 4pm – 11pm. A line-up of killer music headlined by Kim & the Created. Entrance is free and the event is open to all ages (patrons must of course be 21 years or older to drink alcohol). All beers on tap will be $5 for the event, including for the release of Brouwerij West’s First Anniversary Beer – Barrel-Aged Tripel. (Bottles, cans and growlers will still be available to-go, subject to availability, at their regular price).
