Get “off the beaten path” and enjoy an afternoon of great beer and outstanding food at places you maybe never heard of in this eclectic city that is San Francisco.

What the hell is a Progressive Tasting you ask? It’s where you enjoy food and craft beer pairings at one location, then “progressively” move along the route to enjoy more food and craft beer pairings at other locations. Our Progressive Tasting event will get you to FOUR locations, and the best part is we’ll shuttle you along the route for FREE!

What the hell is the “Ing-Xcels-Ola” you ask? It’s our made-up word to direct you to the INGleside, eXCELSsior, and portOLA neighborhoods along the southern edge of the city. We may be a bit off the beaten path, but once you find us, you’ll realize we’re worth the trip, and a lot closer to where you normally grab craft beers than you may have originally thought.

For our Progressive Tasting, you’ll enjoy food paired with beers by Ferment.Drink.Repeat at FOUR different, unique locations. Starting at 12:30pm at The Ave Bar on Ingleside's Ocean Avenue (www.theavebar.com), you’ll get a beer-infused cocktail crafted with an FDR beer at this wateringhole that features craft beers and has been welcoming Ingleside residents for years. From there you’ll make the short walk down to Ocean Ale House (www.oceanalehouse.com) starting at 1:30pm where you’ll pair delicious food with multiple FDR beers at this inviting, newly-opened craft beer mecca. Our FREE shuttle will then begin moving folks to the Excelsior (between 2:30pm and 4:30pm) to get more outstanding food paired with FDR beer at The Dark Horse Inn (www.darkhorsesf.com), an oasis on Geneva Avenue that has been featuring locally-produced craft beer for the past six years. For your last stop, you’ll again take our FREE shuttle to Ferment.Drink.Repeat (between 3:30pm and 5:30pm), the Portola Neighborhood’s first craft brewery (www.fermentdrinkrepeat.com), where you’ll get even more beer, this time paired with a delectable dessert prepared for us by The Dark Horse Inn. FDR will also be prepared to provide tours of the brewery, where all the beers paired for this event were brewed!

The best part – you’ll pay as you go (around ~$15-20 per pairing), plus there will be a wide-range of multiple breweries’ craft beers available at The Ave Bar, Ocean Ale House, and The Dark Horse Inn, so you can decide how much beer and food you’d like to have, and did we mention the shuttle getting you from Point B to Point C to Point D is FREE?!

1:30pm – Progressive Tasting starts at Ocean Ale House (a 3-min walk from The Ave Bar)

2:30pm – 4:30pm – SHUTTLE moves patrons from Ocean Ale House to The Dark Horse Inn

3:30pm – 5:30pm – SHUTTLE moves patrons from The Dark Horse Inn to Ferment.Drink.Repeat

Shuttle service ends at 5:30pm with last stop at Ferment.Drink.Repeat.
