Seize the Chance to Cook Up a Taste of Thailand
PRESS RELEASE posted by Thai Trade London, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP)
Have you recently returned from a holiday to Thailand and fallen in love with the bold, uniquely original flavours of Thai cuisine? Or, perhaps you are an adventurous cook keen to sample exciting international cuisines in the comfort of your own home. Either way, the good news is that cooking up a taste of Thailand just got a whole lot easier with the launch of the Taste of Thailand range on Ocado.com.
The launch of the shop sees the arrival of 15 new fabulous products from Thailand - added to the 50-plus already available on the Ocado.com website - this Autumn (from 11th September 2026).
The carefully curated collection offers access to a selection of cult favourites ideally placed to recreate a range of popular Thai dishes using genuinely authentic ingredients rather than westernised alternatives.
To help celebrate the launch of Ocado Retail’s Taste of Thailand shop, Thai Trade London, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) chefs have developed a series of hero recipes to showcase the versatility of the products and provide inspirational menu ideas. Specifically designed to appeal to lovers of good food, these serving suggestions are packed with the delicate balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy notes, which are the hallmark of vibrant Thai cuisine. Best of all, the recipes focus on easy weeknight dining options, rather than just special occasions.
Tuck into a fragrant and beautifully balanced Thai Coconut Soup, or for a healthy lunch, why not try the appetising Buddha Bowl or Yellow Curry Rice Bowl? Thai food connoisseurs will be wowed by the tasty, aromatic classic Thai Green Curry and Pad Thai Chicken dishes, while the time-poor home cook looking for a convenient supper charged with punchy flavours will welcome the chance to whip up a speedy Pork & Holy Basil Stir-fry. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Mogu Mogu Festive Trifle (combining a tangy grape or strawberry fruit drink featuring chewy cubes of coconut jelly with coconut milk and double cream) represents the perfect choice of pudding.
All the essential items for the eight dishes will be available from Ocado Retail’s Thai range this Autumn, creating the opportunity to cook up a Thai feast from scratch using the same best-in-class ingredients that feature in Thailand’s rich repertoire of regional cooking classics. And of course, don’t forget the all-important Chang Classic and Singha Beers to accompany your meal or for a non-alcoholic, caffeine-free option, try Yod Cha Bael Fruit Drink, which is a traditional sweet and earthy Thai herbal drink made from dried wood apple or bael fruit – a great remedy to naturally cool down the body during any further heatwaves
