$14,000 Premium Hop Raffle to Support Scholarships for Women and Non-Binary in Fermentation

PHILADELPHIA — May 14, 2026 — The Philadelphia chapter of the Pink Boots Society will offer more than $14,000 worth of professional scholarships to women and non-binary individuals in the fermentation industry, thanks to a raffle of premium German hops. The initiative aims to support the local brewing community and industry supporters through the distribution of eight winning lots of HVG German hops.

Event and Raffle Details

Coordinated by Home Brewed Events and the BrewedAt podcast, the raffle is currently open and will run through August 5, 2026. A live drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Triple Bottom Brewing, located at 915 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia. Entry tickets are priced between $35 and $75. Interested breweries and industry supporters from across the country can enter the raffle at the included URL.

Featured Hop Varieties

Hallertauer Mittelfrüher: A classic Bavarian landrace hop known for its fine aroma profile. Valued at $10.73/lb, these T90 2025 pellets are ideal for traditional Bavarian-style lagers.

Hüll Melon: A specialty variety perfect for IPAs, offering unique notes of honeydew, apricot, and strawberry. These T90 2025 pellets are valued at $11.16/lb.

Beyond the raffle, the chapter is also giving away 10 boxes of hops (a $14,800 value) to Pink Boots members and supporters who want to use them to brew and donate a portion of the proceeds back to the Philly chapter.
