JUNE 9, 2026, HALIFAX | With less than two weeks until the return of world-class racing to Halifax Harbour, SailGP and Propeller Brewing Company today unveiled a limited-edition SailGP Wind Shift custom can created to celebrate the 2026 Canada Sail Grand Prix in Halifax.
Designed exclusively for SailGP's return to Nova Scotia on June 20–21, the commemorative can pays tribute to the energy of high-speed racing, Halifax's deep connection to the water, and the unpredictable wind shifts that define both sail racing and life on the East Coast. The custom artwork blends SailGP's cutting-edge racing aesthetic with local maritime influences, creating a collectible keepsake for fans attending the event.
The limited-edition SailGP Wind Shift can will be available throughout the Canada Sail Grand Prix weekend on-site, including within the Race Stadium, on George's Island, and across event hospitality and grandstand areas.
The can release forms part of Propeller Brewing Company's partnership as the Official Craft Beer of the 2026 Canada Sail Grand Prix in Halifax. Alongside the special-edition SailGP Wind Shift can, Propeller's award-winning lineup of craft beers, ready-to-drink cocktails, and all-natural sodas will be available throughout the event.
SailGP Chief Revenue Officer Ben Johnson said: “Halifax has quickly become one of the most passionate and distinctive stops on the SailGP calendar, and we're always looking for new ways to connect the excitement of our racing with local fans. The limited-edition SailGP Wind Shift can is a great example of that, bringing together the energy of SailGP, the creativity of Propeller Brewing, and the maritime spirit that makes Nova Scotia so special. As we prepare to return to Halifax Harbour, we're excited to give fans a unique takeaway that celebrates both the event and the place that helps make it unforgettable.”
Angel Demeester, Propeller Brewing Company’s graphic designer, said: “The idea behind Wind Shift was to translate the excitement of SailGP into something that you could hold in your hand. We wanted to convey speed, motion, and the ever-changing conditions that make both sailing and life on the East Coast so unique. By combining SailGP’s sophisticated racing aesthetic with visual nods to the excitement of both spectators and participants, we created a cohesive design that celebrates the energy of the event and the community hosting it.”
As a leading force in Nova Scotia’s craft beer industry, Propeller Brewing Company delivers bold, flavour-driven beverages that reflect the creativity and spirit of Halifax and the broader Atlantic region. With products available at its taprooms and retail locations, as well as in bars and liquor stores across Atlantic Canada, Propeller continues to shape the future of East Coast craft beverage culture through a focus on quality, innovation, and community engagement.
This marks the second time Halifax will host the Canada Sail Grand Prix, which will be the seventh stop of the Rolex SailGP Championship this season. The 2024 event attracted a dedicated global broadcast audience of 19.5 million viewers and generated an economic impact of USD $45 million for the city. SailGP's return in 2026 is expected to build on that momentum, once again transforming Halifax Harbour into an international stage for elite competition and waterfront celebration.
