Athletic Club Boise and Sockeye Brewing Launch “Striker” as Club’s Official Craft Beer

BOISE, ID — Athletic Club Boise today announced the official launch of Striker, the club’s first-ever official craft beer, brewed in collaboration with Sockeye Brewing. Striker is a crisp, easy-drinking Kölsch (5.1% ABV) designed to be enjoyed across the Treasure Valley as fans count down to the club’s inaugural season.

“As a homegrown Boise business celebrating 30 years this year, we are stoked on this project with AC Boise and are proud to craft and offer a beer for the team that is European-inspired, collaboratively designed, and locally brewed just a few miles from the stadium,” said Ben Sopchak, VP of Sales & Marketing for Sockeye Brewing. “AC Boise is a huge addition to our community. We are thrilled to work with them on this and eager to support the inaugural season. This is going to be a lot of fun!”

Beginning Feb. 4, Striker will be available for purchase in 12-packs at Albertsons locations statewide, with additional availability at other beer retailers across Idaho. Fans can also find Striker on draft at bars and restaurants throughout the Treasure Valley and beyond — for the most up-to-date locations, visit Sockeye Brewing’s online beer finder at sockeyebrew.com/beer-finder.

Striker will also be available at Athletic Club Boise home matches at Expo Idaho, where it will be offered on tap and in 19.2 oz single-serve cans as part of the stadium beverage lineup. For Athletic Club Boise, the partnership with Sockeye brings together two Idaho-born brands with a shared focus on community and authenticity.

“Sockeye is a craft beer brand born in the heart of the Treasure Valley, with deep roots in this community, which made this partnership feel like a natural fit,” said Christina Aldazabal, Director of Corporate Partnerships for Athletic Club Boise. “We’re excited that fans can bring Striker home now, enjoy it at their favorite local spot, and make it part of how they connect with the club as we build toward our first season and our home opener this spring.”

Idaho’s first professional soccer club will open its inaugural home season on April 4 at the Athletic Club Boise at Expo Idaho. The club will announce additional details around the stadium experience and new partnerships in the coming weeks as preparations continue for the home opener.

About Athletic Club Boise

Athletic Club Boise is Idaho’s first professional soccer club, competing in USL League One. Founded with deep roots in the community, the club is building a privately funded stadium at Expo Idaho through a 30-year partnership with Ada County. AC Boise will debut its men’s team in 2026, followed by a women’s Gainbridge Super League team in 2027. All men’s matches will be broadcast nationally on the ESPN and CBS Sports family of networks — a first for Boise pro sports. The club’s mission is to celebrate Idaho’s identity through sport, grow access to the game, and become a lasting source of pride for the Treasure Valley.

About Sockeye Brewing

Founded in 1996, Sockeye Brewing began as a small-batch beer option for tap houses around Idaho’s Treasure Valley and has since grown into one of the top breweries in the state of Idaho. Today, Sockeye continues to expand its regional footprint throughout the Northwest, bringing its award-winning beers to a broader audience while staying rooted in its Boise community. Visit sockeyebrew.com for more details.
