San Antonio, TX — In the wake of the devastating floods that have impacted families, businesses, and entire communities across the Texas Hill Country, Lone Star Beer and Pabst are working to give back to the place Lone Star Beer has proudly called home for over 140 years.
Lone Star has committed a $25,000 donation, to be split between Kerr County Flood Relief and Texas Search and Rescue (TEXSAR)—two organizations working directly on the ground to support recovery and relief efforts.
Through the overwhelming support of the Lone Star Beer community, the brand also raised another $9,000 from the sale of Lone Star Camo Hats this month, with 100% of proceeds benefitting Texas-based Southern Smoke Foundation, which provides emergency relief to service industry workers affected by disasters like this.
Lone Star also plans to host a First Responders Appreciation Party in the coming months to honor the brave men and women who put everything on the line to protect their communities during crisis, and every day.
“Texas is a place where people have always taken care of one another, and that spirit of support is at the core of Lone Star Beer,” said Pabst Brewing Company CEO Paul Chibe. “We recognize that recovery will take time, and we’re committed to standing with our neighbors in times of crisis. This marks just the beginning of our ongoing efforts to support the Texas communities most affected by the floods.”
“Lone Star was built alongside this community,” said Nitasha Chopra, Brand Director of Lone Star Beer. “In moments of hardship, we’re proud to lend our support and stand together with Texas.”
