2 TOWNS CIDERHOUSE EARNS 6 MEDALS IN LANDMARK CIDER DEBUT AT THE WORLD BEER CUP®

CORVALLIS, Ore. – May 6, 2025 – For the first time in its 28-year history, the World Beer Cup®—one of the largest and most prestigious beer competitions in the world—introduced cider categories, marking a major milestone for the industry and underscoring cider’s growing influence in the craft beverage landscape.

Oregon-based 2 Towns Ciderhouse made a standout debut, medalling in 4 out of the 5 possible categories and earning 6 of the 15 total cider medals awarded globally, including three golds, and ties for the most medals received of any entrant in this year’s competition across both cider and beer categories.

  • GOLD  Cidre Bouche (Tannic Cider)
  • GOLD- Raspberry Cosmic Crisp® (Fruited Cider)
  • GOLD- 2019 Pommeau (Experimental Barrel Aged or Specialty Cider)
  • SILVER – Cosmic Crisp® (No/Low – Tannin Cider)
  • BRONZE – 14th Anniversary (No/Low – Tannin Cider)
  • BRONZE – Imperial Bad Apple- Westward Whiskey Barrel Cider (Experimental Barrel Aged or Specialty Cider)

The World Beer Cup®, often called the “Olympics of Beer,” is hosted by the Brewers Association and draws thousands of entries from across the globe. With cider included in this year’s competition, 2 Towns’ six-medal sweep showcases the diversity and quality of its lineup—from bold, fruit-forward imperials to barrel-aged specialty ciders and tannic classics.

“We’re incredibly honored to see our ciders recognized at the World Beer Cup,” said Lee Larsen, CEO and co-founder of 2 Towns Ciderhouse. “I’m so grateful to work alongside such talented cidermakers who truly love the craft—and to have a market that gives them the freedom to experiment, explore, and push the boundaries of what cider can be. We’re also deeply thankful to the Brewers Association for putting cider on the global stage—it’s thrilling to see how far the category has come, and even more exciting to imagine where it can go.”

Now celebrating its 15th year, 2 Towns is the #2 selling cider brand in U.S. grocery and the #1 selling non-alcoholic cider in the nation.

“It’s been an incredible journey for 2 Towns Ciderhouse, and we’re honored to be tied as the top-medaling producer across all categories at this year’s World Beer Cup,” shares Aaron Sarnoff-Wood, co-founder and VP of Sales at 2 Towns Ciderhouse. “This recognition builds upon a remarkable run across the four most prestigious competitions in the world—including being named the Cidermaker of the Year at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival, earning the same title at GLINTCAP, and medaling at the respected World Cider Awards. These 4 competitions are among the largest in the world, and we’re truly honored to be recognized on such a global stage.”

About 2 Towns Ciderhouse

2 Towns Ciderhouse was founded on the belief that the long history of cidermaking demands respect and deserves to be done right. Starting with the highest quality, whole ingredients from local farms, we take no shortcuts in crafting our ciders. Over the years our company has retained these core values to branch out into different segments within the alcohol beverage space to become a premium total beverage company. Our goal is to create the best craft beverages on the market and continue to develop and evolve the beverage space in innovative new ways.

From humble beginnings in 2010 in an old 900 sq. ft. 2 car garage we have grown into one of the largest craft beverage companies in the nation now employing over 100 individuals, distributing to 17 states, and running 3 different production facilities totaling almost 100,000 sq. feet. As a family-owned company, we are committed to the growth of our team and enrichment of our communities. We take pride in producing true Northwest craft beverages.
