Wild Heaven Beer x Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Unveil Eighth Collaboration: Electric Avenue

Some beers play it safe—this one cranks it up. Wild Heaven Beer and Bulleit Frontier Whiskey have once again raised the stakes with their eighth collaboration, Electric Avenue. This Munich Wine, aged to perfection in Bulleit 95 Rye™ barrels, is an elevated riff on the classic Boulevardier. The result? A rich, complex beer that combines bold caramel apple richness, a fiery punch of spice, and a zesty bitter orange finish. With a deep, malt-forward body reminiscent of a Barleywine, Electric Avenue is as layered as it is intense—bold, intriguing, and impossible to forget. 

“The idea for this collaboration sparked during a trip to the Bulleit distillery in Kentucky over rounds of boulevardiers,” says Josh Franks, Head Brewer. “Inspired, we set out to create a ‘Bulleit-vardier.’ Blending cocktail elements with beer was a challenge, but by exploring the herbal notes that define Campari and vermouth, we found a perfect balance. We chose a Munich Wine base—akin to a Barleywine but with a rich malt presence—aged in Bulleit Rye Whiskey barrels to enhance its depth with spicy, cherry notes. A mix of gentian root, rhubarb root, angelica, and citrus peels recreates the essence of a boulevardier, offering a smoother, slightly sweeter take that shines on its own or alongside the cocktail.”

As Wild Heaven Beer hits the 15-year mark, Electric Avenue adds a defining new chapter to their story. Available at all three Wild Heaven locations—including the newest in Toco Hills—this collaboration unites two legendary brands to create something truly special. 1982 may have come and gone, but Electric Avenue is just hitting its stride—ushering in a new era of beer that promises to take things higher.
