Local Businesses Unite to Revitalize New Castle Nightlife

New Castle, PA – November 19, 2024 – The City of New Castle, PA, is witnessing a cultural renaissance in its downtown scene, thanks to a dynamic collaboration between three key local establishments: Neshannock Creek Brewing, Union Station Craft Distillery, and The Confluence. This trio of businesses, each unique in their offerings, has committed to enhancing the nightlife and tourist appeal of New Castle, transforming it into a vibrant destination for both locals and visitors alike.

A Year of Collaboration and Celebration

Neshannock Creek Brewing, led by owner Eric Fulkerson, and Union Station Craft Distillery, steered by founders David Goldberg and Rod Firmi, recently celebrated their first anniversary. Over the past year, they have not only thrived as the only brewery and distillery in town but have also become integral parts of New Castle’s community events, vending together at every major summer concert series and city event at the city’s request. Their collaboration has been pivotal in drawing crowds and boosting local engagement.

Introducing The Confluence: A New Hub for Craft Beverages

Adding to this collaborative effort, The Confluence, a beloved local coffee shop and event space located on Washington Street, has undergone a significant transformation. With the joint effort of Neshannock Creek Brewing and Union Station Craft Distillery, The Confluence now boasts a new bar, serving as the latest addition to New Castle’s burgeoning craft spirits and craft beer scene. This renovation not only preserves the coffee shop’s original charm but also introduces a new venue for evening entertainment.

Upcoming Events at The Confluence

The trio is gearing up for an exciting lineup of events to end the year:
  • November 27th – Drinksgiving: A toast to gratitude with special drinks and live music.
  • December 5th – Repeal Day Party: Celebrating the end of Prohibition with themed cocktails and fun historical attire.
  • December 12th – Paint & Sip and Comedy Show: An evening of art, laughter, and libations. (Tickets required)
  • December 19th – Open Mic Night: A platform for local talent to shine with craft beverages in hand.
  • December 26th – Music From Steve Vuich: Enjoy the soulful acoustic tunes of Steve Vuich, complemented by craft beers and spirits.
  • December 31st – New Year’s Eve Party: Ring in the new year with special drinks, a buffet, and live entertainment. (Tickets required)

A Confluence of Community and Commerce

“This collaboration isn’t just about business; it’s about community revitalization,” says Eric Fulkerson of Neshannock Creek Brewing. David Goldberg of Union Station adds, “We’re crafting an experience that celebrates our town’s heritage while pushing forward into new cultural and economic growth.”

The synergy between these three establishments aims not only to bring people back to downtown New Castle but also to encourage other businesses to invest in the area, fostering a cycle of growth and revival.
