Prost Brewing Co. Releases Winter Lager

Limited release golden bock-style lager hits shelves November 1

Just in time for cold weather, Prost Brewing Co., the brewery dedicated to German craft bier perfection, announces the release of Winter Lager (6.0% ABV). Starting November 1, the seasonal golden bock-style lager will be available in all of their Colorado biergarten locations and in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans at retailers across its seven-state distribution area. 

True to style, Winter Lager is malty and toasty with a clean, crisp finish. It’s accentuated by aromatics reminiscent of winter spices and toasted chestnuts and walnuts. A perfect transition into the cold winter months, Winter Lager boasts a more assertive flavor profile than their typical offerings, while remaining approachable and balanced.

Prost Brewing Co. president David Deline said, “It’s a pleasure to craft this type of traditional bier style, which has an interesting history. Because of their robust character, bock-style lagers were once brewed as sustenance for monks during times of fasting. It’s as fantastic today as it was in the 13th century.”

Prost Brewing Co. brews its Winter Lager at the Northglenn brewing headquarters on an authentische (“authentic”) Kaspar Schulz brewing system imported from Germany, blending traditional German brewing methods with modern innovations.
