SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Karl Strauss, San Diego’s longest continuously operating post-Prohibition brewing company, will release its seasonal Peanut Butter Cup Porter on Thursday, October 10, and for the first time ever it will be available in four packs of 16-oz cans.
The 5.4 percent alcohol-by-volume (ABV) beer will be served on draft at Karl Strauss’ four Southern California brewpubs and other bars and restaurants throughout San Diego County. The four packs of cans are available at the brewpubs, as well as retails outlets.
Peanut Butter Cup Porter (PBCP) has tasting notes of peanut butter, espresso, and cocoa. It has a full body and a rich, slightly dry finish. PBCP was first brewed in 2013, but not on an annual basis. It was previously only available on draft in Karl Strauss’ brewpubs.
The four San Diego brewpubs are located in 4S Ranch, Carlsbad, Downtown, and Sorrento Mesa.
