Lakewood Brewing Co. has been a staple in the DFW and Texas craft beer scene for 12 incredible years and will mark this milestone with a celebration on August 24, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the brewery and taproom in Garland, TX. The anniversary party promises to be an all-day event filled with great beer, live music, and more—no tickets needed, just show up ready to party!
A highlight of the celebration will be the release of the much-anticipated Lion Share XII. This year’s anniversary beer is a Belgian Tripel, characterized by its strong, pale, and dry profile with a hint of spiciness, a rounded malt flavor, and firm bitterness. It pours a deep yellow to pale amber and boasts a creamy, long-lasting head that leaves a signature Belgian lace on the glass. Available in a commemorative boxed 2-pack and on draft, Lion Share XII is a limited-edition beer to enjoy at the event or take home. This is a unique chance to try it and other exclusive brews that may not be around for long.
Throughout the day, guests can enjoy live music on the beer garden stage and participate in a vertical tasting of past Lion Share variants to explore the evolution of the anniversary beers. Signed bottles of Lion Share XII will be available while supplies last, along with commemorative glasses, tasting cards for purchase, and plenty of discounts and giveaways to keep things exciting!
In addition to the anniversary celebration, Lakewood is bringing back some fall favorites. Pumpkin Spice Latte Temptress, a seasonal delight blending pumpkin spice with bold coffee flavors, returns just in time for autumn. Enhanced with cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ginger, it’s the perfect companion for cooler weather. Also returning is the beloved Punkel, a spiced beer that has been a local favorite since 2013, offering pumpkin pie spices without the pumpkin and remaining a standout in the seasonal lineup.
