Norwalk Brew House Announces Plans to Open Flagship Brewery and Taproom

Norwalk Brew House, a proudly Mexican-American-owned craft beer brand, is thrilled to announce its plans to open a flagship brewery and taproom in Norwalk, California. This new venture comes at a time when less than 1% of craft breweries in the United States are owned by people of color, highlighting the significance of this milestone for diversity and inclusion in the brewing industry.

Despite the broader trends of declining beer sales in the craft beer market and numerous brewery closures post-pandemic, Norwalk Brew House has experienced remarkable growth and strong local demand, making this expansion a natural next step. The new brewery and taproom will serve as a hub for the community, embodying the brand's commitment to being hyperlocal and fostering community support under its motto, "Make Good Beer, Do Good Things."

After years of contract brewing and self-distributing their vibrant, culturally inspired beer products directly to retail, the company is ready to establish a permanent home catering to its local market, including offering a curated selection of rotating guest beers from other Latino-owned breweries. The brewery will feature a variety of craft beers, including some of Norwalk Brew House’s signature styles including its popular, Bidi Bidi Blonde Blonde, Mexican-American blonde ale. With a focus on community, culture and quality, the flagship location aims to be a beloved gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. 

To bring this exciting new venture to life, Norwalk Brew House is launching an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising $125,000. The campaign will go live on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 9 AM PST. The funds raised will be pivotal in setting up the brewery and taproom, allowing Norwalk Brew House to continue delivering exceptional craft beer experiences to its community.

“I envision a hyperlocal space that speaks to the community’s soul,” said Ray Ricky Rivera, founder of Norwalk Brew House. “A space where culture is honestly reflected and celebrated, where the people are kind, and the beer is great.”

The Indiegogo campaign will offer backers various unique perks, including a coveted lifetime membership to the brewery's 562 Brew Crew. Membership benefits include exclusive merchandise, taproom discounts, and members-only glassware, creating a special connection with the brand for loyal supporters.
