Another town. Another round: Brewbound is pleased to announce that New Belgium Brewing, the country’s fourth largest craft brewery, will play host to a pair of Brew Talks events in 2016.
The first, happening on March 22 at the New Belgium headquarters in Fort Collins, Colo., will feature two panel discussions on the business of beer. The evening’s first conversation will look at eco-friendly brewing initiatives, triple bottom line business models and the challenges of scaling a sustainably-minded craft brewery. A second conversation on the state of the U.S. craft beer business will feature local brewery owners and look at marketplace issues such as pay-to-play, mergers & acquisitions, distributor consolidation and wholesaler incentive programs, among other topics.
Official speaker announcements and program notes will be made in the coming days.
Beer business professionals are invited to join the Fort Collins meetup, being held inside of New Belgium’s “staff room” (500 Linden Street, Fort Collins, CO. 80524) at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 22. Panel discussions will begin promptly at 5:30 P.M. and guests are invite to imbibe and socialize until 8:00 P.M.
A second Brew Talks meetup at New Belgium’s secondary production facility in Asheville, N.C. is also scheduled for August 24. More details on that event will be sharing in the coming months.
Brew Talks — gatherings designed to provide craft brewers, distributors and retailers the opportunity to come together and have in-depth discussions on the business side of craft beer – will offer attendees an excellent opportunity to gain business lessons and network with other beverage entrepreneurs.
In addition to conversations with industry experts, Brewbound will also be raising money for the Fort Collins chapter of Habitat for Humanity. 100 percent of ticket proceeds will be donated to the organization.
Brew Talks Fort Collins is sponsored by Avery Dennison, Owens-Illinois, VicinityBrew, Markem-Imaje and Cascade Floors, Inc. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available — please contact John McKenna at email@example.com or 617-231-8825 to learn more.
About Brew Talks
Since hosting our first event in the basement of a craft beer bar in Boston in 2013, the Brew Talks meetup series has developed into a multi-city tour where beer industry professionals can come together inside of some of the country’s most recognizable craft breweries and share business insights with one another.
The program is designed to provide members of the beer community with an opportunity to come together and have in-depth discussions on the business of craft beer and the events are also broadcast globally via a free live stream. Through its nine meetups in 2015, Brewbound connected with more than 1,000 beer industry professionals and raised $10,000 for local non-profit organizations.
