Brewbound Session 2017: Tap Into 3 Decades of Beer Business Lessons with Harpoon Brewery’s Co-Founder & CEO

Brewbound is pleased to welcome Dan Kenary, the co-founder and CEO of Harpoon Brewery, to the Brewbound Session Summer 2017 stage on June 15 in New York City.

Kenary, who launched Boston’s Harpoon Brewery with friends Rich Doyle and George Ligeti in 1986, will discuss the strategic moves his company has made over the last five years — including an investment into a small Boston-area startup brewery, the expansion of its distribution division and the decision to sell half of the company back to employees — to better position itself for continued long-term success in an ultra-crowded craft beer landscape.

Register for Brewbound Session Summer 2017 Today.

During his talk, Kenary will tap into three decades of beer business wisdom and explain how established and regional craft brands can remain relevant amidst pressures from global brewing giants and nimble local players alike. Throughout his presentation, Kenary will share lessons learned from building, scaling and diversifying the Harpoon business over the last 31 years.

In a follow-up question & answer session, moderated by Brewbound editor Chris Furnari, Kenary will share his thoughts on the continued development of the craft beer segment and offer perspective on a number of top-of-mind industry issues.
