A trio of the industry’s most knowledgeable executives will take the stage during next week’s Brewbound Session business conference to discuss the robust and ever-evolving craft beer segment and share critical information that will help shape future craft brewery businesses.

Attendees of the full-day conference, taking place on June 11 at Moonlight Studios in Chicago, will have an opportunity to learn from and engage directly with Tenth & Blake CEO Scott Whitley, First Beverage Group managing partner Townsend Ziebold and IRI Worldwide’s Dan Wandel, all of whom will be on hand to share exclusive data and insight into the most recent category developments.

Scott Whitley, who took over as the CEO of MillerCoors’ craft outfit Tenth & Blake last October, will kick off the Brewbound Session and provide his view of category dynamics while explaining how thousands of new startups – the long tail — have disrupted traditional marketplace strategies of longstanding players. Throughout his presentation, Whitley will also underscore the growing importance of focusing on fundamentals and provide tools for succeeding as an increasingly crowded business becomes more complex.

To compliment Whitley’s commentary on the long tail, Dan Wandel, IRI Worldwide’s principal of beverage alcohol, will discuss the latest off-premise craft beer numbers, share an in-depth analysis of recent growth trends and breakdown activity in a number of emerging Midwest markets.

Later in the afternoon, First Beverage Group’s Townsend Ziebold will address the latest merger & acquisition activity in craft, identify the factors that can sustain or derail category momentum and discuss both the challenges and opportunities brewers will face as they look to sell their companies. Drawing on more than 25 years of investment banking experience, Ziebold will also provide an outlook on the next 18 – 24 months of deal activity in craft.
