Brew Talks Austin: Live at The Chive

When we launched Brew Talks in early 2013, we had no idea how the concept would evolve or where it would take us.

Since hosting our first event in the basement of a craft beer bar in Boston, the meetup series has developed into a multi-city tour where beer industry professionals can network and discuss the business of beer inside of some of the country’s most recognizable craft breweries. In less than two years, we’ve hosted 17 meetups, in 13 U.S. cities, and connected with hundreds of individuals from all tiers of the industry.

That’s why we’re so excited to announce that the penultimate Brew Talks event of 2014 will be held outside of the brewhouse, and inside the headquarters of one of the country’s most trafficked websites.

On October 21, Brewbound will travel to Austin, Texas to host Brew Talks at the offices of popular entertainment website, theCHIVE.com (located at 98 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, TX 78701).

You might be asking yourself, why is Brewbound hosting a business-networking event at The Chive? In addition to the company’s daily (and often salacious) photo blogs, they’re also partnered with Craft Brew Alliance’s Redhook Brewery. Under the Resignation Brewery moniker, The Chive markets and sells a portfolio of KCCO (Keep CALM and CHIVE on) beer labels.

“Resignation Brewery is looking to grow its presence in the rapidly expanding craft beer market and we’re thrilled to be hosting a Brew Talks meetup with them,” said Brewbound editor Chris Furnari.

Designed to provide brewers, distributors and retailers with an intimate opportunity to network and learn the business of beer in craft-friendly locales, Brew Talks Austin will offer attendees a unique chance to gain business lessons from local food and beverage entrepreneurs. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!

In addition to hosting conversations with beverage industry experts, which will begin at 6:00 P.M. local time, Brewbound will also be raising funds for The Chive’s non-profit organization, Chive Charities, which is dedicated to championing underdog causes; especially those geared towards rare medical conditions, disabled veterans and underfunded special needs programs.

Stay tuned for official speaker announcements, which will be made in the coming days.

Already this year Brewbound has traveled to eight cities and raised over $5,000 for two non-profit organizations: Safe Water International and Foundations of Music.
