Prost Brewing Company brews authentic German-style lagers and ales out of our Northglenn, Colorado brewery. We are looking for a skilled, self-driven brewer to join our overnight production team, responsible for raw material and finished-goods handling, brewing, cellaring, and packaging. The right candidate can independently operate the full range of our brewing and packaging systems and takes genuine ownership of quality, safety, and continuous improvement as Prost scales.
Shift: Overnight, Monday–Thursday, 20:30–06:30
EQUIPMENT YOU'LL OPERATE
- 6-roller mill (fully automated)
- Brewhouse — 5 vessel, 20 BBL (semi-automated)
- Brewhouse — 6 vessel, 50 BBL (fully automated)
- Cellar automation (recipe management / operation)
- Fermentation vessels (CIP / SIP / active fermentation monitoring)
- Centrifuge (automated)
- Pentair crossflow filter (automated)
- Brite beer tanks (CIP / SIP / carbonation / sensory release)
- Automated keg line (CIP / SIP / operations)
- Automated canning line (250 cpm, multiple pack types & sizes)
- Raw material receiving
- Finished goods shipping
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Participate in the company's quality assurance and safety programs as Prost grows in complexity and scope — including the Prost Quality Management System (QMS) and Engineering Management System (EMS).
- Drive brewery achievement through personal development; participate in continuous education and improvement across all brewing operations.
- Support and participate in the training of new employees as volume goals increase.
- Communicate with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure all PM and calibration schedules are followed.
- Own KPI targets across production, quality, brewing, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Hold yourself and others accountable — the team is only effective when everyone is rowing in the same direction.
- Maintain a culture of innovation and engagement with all team members.
- As needed, assist with marketing, promotional needs, and public events for Prost Brewing Company.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Brewing, Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field required — brewing-specific education preferred (please specify on your resume).
- 3+ years of operations experience in the alcohol / beer industry.
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and within a team, with excellent communication.
- High level of organization and proven success managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
- Understanding of brewery regulatory compliance, beer science, and craft beer culture — particularly German-style lagers and ales.
- Comprehensive understanding of all operational stages of a manufacturing facility's internal and external supply chains.
- Ability to compile, interpret, and communicate data in audience-relevant formats.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work 10- to 12-hour shifts depending on duties in the cellar or brewhouse.
- Ability to work overnight shifts.
- Frequent physical movement in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise.
- Ability to work on and around potentially dangerous equipment and machinery with moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to work in tight or cramped workspaces, and in high or precarious places including ladders and steps.
- Ability to work with brewing chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; team lift or equipment required for loads above 50 lbs (full kegs, grain bags, finished-goods pallets).
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
