Job Description

Mudhen Brewing Company is looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic person to join our team as a part-time sales representative.

We are looking for a Beer Sales Representative for the Greater Philadelphia and Tri-State Area. The Sales Representative is responsible for creating and building relationships with key retailers within the assigned region. The Beer Sales Representative works alongside distributor partners and local supplier distributor manager to ensure the successful sale, volume growth, distribution, brand presence and positioning of the supplier’s portfolio, working within a set list of on-premise accounts and/or a territory of large and small format off-premise accounts throughout the assigned territory. This position will concentrate on the greater Philadelphia area and spend most of their time in that area. The Sales Representative will spend approximately 95% of their time in retail execution.

  • Pursue new opportunities for distribution and impact local market to upsell
  • Represent Mudhen Brewing Company at On & Off Premise accounts in the Philadelphia area while developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key retailers
  • Prospect new business by determining focus areas within your territory, setting up presentations, and utilizing stop-by techniques
  • Maintain an active list of prospective customers for use as sales leads
  • We’re looking for you to use your entrepreneurial eyes to seek out new opportunities to increase sales and market penetration within your territory.
  • We pride ourselves on superior customer service which means you will need to be actively involved with our customers and accounts.
  • Work closely with local distributor manager and distributor partner to collaborate on goals and objectives and ensure proper product inventory and proactively manage issues
  • Provide training to accounts on brand/product(s) to include ingredients and pairings, brewing process, history, quality, and current trends
  • Ensure compliance of all alcoholic beverage regulations
  • Assist in executing impactful promotions and educational presentations, both independently and with team members, at accounts
  • Utilize on-line database and systems to track all territory progress
  • Maintain open communication with field and HQ

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of craft beer sales experience
  • Be passionate about craft beer
  • Must be 21 years or older

·        Driver's License (Required)

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous retail, on-premises, or off-premise work experience is a plus
  • Experience as a Bartender, Waitress, Bar Management, Distributor Sales Rep, etc. a strong plus
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to travel within assigned sales region
  • May be required to travel to specific markets Monday through Sunday
  • Must be able to lift and move cases of product frequently
  • Must be able to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, as needed
