- Position Title: Eastern WA/Idaho Sales Rep
- Employment: Exempt, Full Time
- Wage Range: $65k-75k annual equivalent plus benefits, bonuses, and potential profit share
- Schedule: Typically 40-50h per week, fluid across nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak times of business.
- Reporting: Owner > Vice Presidents > Sales Director

- Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to help achieve sales objectives by promoting awareness of Fort George Brewery’s craft beer offerings and telling the story of the brewery’s history and growth in Astoria. This position is based in Spokane, WA and acts as a representative of Fort George Brewery, working to grow sales in Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon, and all of Idaho, and generally champions Fort George by developing and nurturing key relationships, working with multiple distributors, as well as sometimes completing direct sales and organizing/staffing events. Varying schedule to occasionally include weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
Essential Functions:
- General:
- Working directly with the owner, sales director, brewery sales analyst, and the rest of the sales and marketing staff to strategize and achieve measurable sales growth in the territory, maintaining weekly communications and an accurate account log
- Reviewing distributor and product performance (ongoing) and communicating Fort George objectives/sales goals to distribution partners and marketing director
- Working directly with brewery owners, marketing director/brewery relations, marketing staff, and brewers (and collaboration partners, when appropriate) to strategize and communicate production needs/gaps
- Reviewing VIP reports from distribution partners in order to prepare metrics for periodic sales reviews
- Helping establish and meet monthly and yearly volume sales and distribution goals
- Periodically corresponding with distributors/partners/buyers, executing trainings, ride-alongs, individual account support, direct sales, tastings, and events in order to keep distributor partners informed of our product updates and inspired to sell our products
- Directing territory sales by visiting current and potential customers in order to solidify business and build relationships, including but not limited to cold calls, “thank you” visits to existing accounts, and daytime/evening/weekend market visits as needed
- Representing Fort George by participating with buyers and customers in (including but not limited to) special events, promotions, on-premise events, retail/grocery tastings, festivals, media opportunities, and partner organization events
- Merchandising accounts with available Point of Sale (POS) as needed
- Identifying and pursuing key on- and off-premise and partnership opportunities that further Fort George sales and/or visibility
- Providing specific customer beer/brewery education for distributors, retail accounts, and end consumers
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with (including but not limited to) key buyers, allies, VIPs, and media
- Continuously performing quantitative and qualitative assessments of events and position’s efforts
- Attending all mandatory employee meetings
- Attending, planning, occasionally delivering beer/supplies such as kegs, jockey boxes, cases, etc. to, promoting, and/or pouring at key industry events, conferences, releases, etc.; capturing/using high-quality photos and other promotional materials as necessary
- Occasionally assembling/disassembling/cleaning jockey boxes and other event equipment
- Continuing beer and industry education
- Other duties assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Ideal Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in craft beer industry sales or equivalent preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid MAST Server’s permit (may be obtained within 45 days from first date of employment)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or ability to travel to all required events, accounts, and functions
- Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification preferred
- Ability to take initiative and work with a limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
- Proficiency in necessary computer programs, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Must possess detail-oriented organizational and self-motivated time management skills
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse array of personalities, accounts, and organizations
- Must possess ability to interpret and apply relevant technical information
