Position Title: Territory Sales Manager - IL, WI, MO, IA

Position Base: Greater Chicago Area


The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for driving the presence and performance of Radeberger Gruppe USA brands in their assigned territory. This includes close collaboration with distributors, maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, and ensuring consistent communications with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is results-driven, organized, and passionate about the beverage industry. Reports to: VP of Sales - East

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the territory in targeted retail on and off premise accounts with a focus on liquor and grocery chains.
  • Prepare, make and follow-up on sales calls with target accounts. Complete sales call reports for all calls via VIP Karma notes.
  • Build Relationships with wholesaler sales teams and train them on brand objectives, features/benefits, and account maintenance procedures for our brands.
  • Off Premise Execution Standards
  • Key Accounts – work hand in hand with RGUSA National Account team to ensure that all programming and distribution is executed properly at all chains and major liquor retailers.
  • Merchandising - Execute programs in the off-premise liquor channel (POS, Display, Samplings) to drive greater rate of sale.
  • Relationship Building – build relationships with key store managers and buyers to maintain distribution for key SKUs.
  • On Premise Execution Standards
  • Merchandising - Create programming to enhance the consumer experience in target accounts (bars, restaurants, and seasonal accounts) to help drive awareness and rate of sale.
  • Key Account Management – manage all aspects of key accounts, including programming, staff training, etc.
  • Responsibly and effectively manage trade spending for maximum results and within budget.
  • Achieve sales targets and manage and track sales to plan.
  • Communication & Market Intelligence – Report on significant trade developments to RGUSA including sponsorship opportunities and market trends.


Requirements:

  • BA/BS - Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience in the beer/alcohol beverage industry
  • Minimum 2-5 years in the beverage industry, preferably beer
  • Knowledge of the local market and previous market management experience; previous wholesaler management a big plus
  • Must reside in the greater Chicago area
  • Passionate about the beverage industry; Ideal candidates are motivated, creative, have a track record of success and are results driven and highly organized
  • Solid Selling Skills; Previous Import, Specialty, Craft a plus
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit up for the challenge of growing brands in a fast-paced environment
  • Good technical skills, MS office, understanding of and utilization of sales data (VIP), information-based selling concepts.
  • Travel is necessary, must have good credit, own a dependable vehicle and in possession of a valid driver’s license.
