About Us
Founded in 2016, Irwin Brewing Company (IBC) is an award-winning craft brewery in Crested Butte, CO. IBC sells and self-distributes its ales and lagers to bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues. We also supply off-premise accounts like liquor stores, beverage centers, and convenience and grocery stores.
About the Role
We're looking for a driven, personable Field Sales Representative to grow and serve our accounts across the Western Slope — our home market. This is a hands-on role that blends direct sales, account management, event promotion, and coordination with our distribution and production teams. This role will be the face of IBC in our communities of Crested Butte, Gunnison, Buena Vista, and Salida — building relationships with local accounts while also connecting with the large influx of Front Range visitors who frequent our region. This position reports to the IBC Head Brewer with guidance from the Hospitality Portfolio Director.
Responsibilities
· Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts; provide reliable, high-quality service
· Identify and pursue new account opportunities; canvass for new business
· Address and escalate account issues quickly to ensure fast resolution
· Prepare and submit regular sales activity reports, call reports, and Field analyses
· Maintain accurate account, invoicing, and receivables data in IBC's internal systems; work closely with AR/AP Specialist
· Submit orders and coordinate with the Head Brewer and delivery team to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries; assist with deliveries as needed
· Collaborate with the production team on inventory levels, product launches, and packaging timelines
· Plan and execute IBC's presence at community events, festivals, and tastings to build brand visibility
· Recommend and execute marketing and promotional initiatives across physical and digital channels, including social media and the taproom
· Partner with management to develop sales and marketing plans and budgets
· Monitor competitor activity and pricing; recommend adjustments to keep IBC competitive and well-positioned
· Stay current on Colorado craft beer market trends; attend select industry events as approved
· Comply with all applicable state and federal laws governing the sale, merchandising, and promotion of alcohol
Qualifications
· 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in beer, wine, or spirits; a relevant combination of education and experience will be considered
· Bachelor's degree preferred
· Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
· Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly in a growing business
· High integrity and personal accountability
· Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and local community
Work Requirements
· Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and reliable transportation
· Ability to lift full kegs and cases of canned beer
· Comfortable driving for extended periods throughout the sales territory
· Familiarity with draft beer systems (or willingness to learn)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer use
· Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
· Ability to work in brewery, bar, and kitchen environments
