Due to continued growth, Geloso Beverage Group (GBG) is seeking a high-performing District Manager to support the expansion of its Clubtails and Johny Bootlegger brands across Long Island, NY.

Geloso is one of the largest beer and flavored malt beverage companies in the United States and a leading supplier within the convenience store channel. Headquartered in Rochester, NY since 2002, Geloso’s portfolio includes nationally distributed brands found in convenience, grocery, and liquor stores across the country.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the District Manager will be responsible for driving brand growth, distribution, and execution across Long Island. This role partners closely with distributor teams and key retail accounts to deliver best-in-class market performance.

The ideal candidate resides on Long Island and brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset, deep market knowledge, and a hands-on approach to execution.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Market Development

  • Drive sales growth and increase brand visibility across all channels of trade.
  • Identify, target, and secure new distribution opportunities within independent and chain accounts.
  • Lead business development initiatives with an entrepreneurial and results-driven mindset.
  • Maintain a strong focus on expanding presence within key accounts, including 7-Eleven locations.

Distributor Management & Execution

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners, ensuring alignment on priorities and execution.
  • Conduct regular ride-withs (minimum twice weekly) to reinforce objectives, monitor performance, and identify opportunities.
  • Lead by example in merchandising standards, ensuring excellence in shelf placement, cold box execution, and displays.
  • Execute brand programs and initiatives in collaboration with distributor personnel and internal stakeholders.

Account Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key retail decision-makers across the territory.
  • Support training and development initiatives for distributor teams and retail partners.
  • Prioritize high-impact accounts and allocate resources effectively to achieve market objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with chain schematics and mandated programs (“100% schematic integrity”).

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Track and report sales activity, distribution gains, and execution metrics on a weekly basis.
  • Utilize tools such as KARMA, and iDIG to manage performance and identify opportunities.
  • Analyze market data (Circana/Nielsen/IRI) to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor competitive activity and emerging market trends.

Operational Excellence

  • Balance field execution (approximately 80% of time) with administrative responsibilities (20%), including reporting and planning.
  • Manage travel and expenses within company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support launches, promotions, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–5+ years of sales experience within the beer, beverage, or alcohol industry.
  • Proven success working with distributors and managing key retail relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the Long Island market; experience with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Long Island division is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based reporting systems; experience with VIP preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Successful completion of background check, drug screening, and physical required.
