- Ability to lift up 130lbs (half barrel keg full weight)
- Can tolerate the Texas summer (or winter)
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
- Forklift certified (preferred)
Job Duties
- Perform all or part of the brewing process, including mixing/blending raw materials, water, and ingredients per SOPs
- Monitor fermentation (temps/gravities/pH/DO as applicable), track progress, and report/escalate abnormalities
- Check quality of wort/beer before and after fermentation and filtration; conduct sensory evaluation and document results
- Clean and sterilize brewhouse, cellar tanks, lines, and processing equipment (CIPs/SIPs), verifying cleanliness standards
- Execute standard cellar operations: transfers, dry hopping, carbonation, conditioning, filtration/processing, and tank management
- Assist with packaging support as needed (keg cleaning/kegging/canning/bottling/labeling) and staging finished beer
- Maintain safe and organized work areas; follow all safety, chemical handling, and confined-space procedures as required
- Assist with inventory management and movement of raw/finished goods; complete production-related data entry
- Coordinate daily priorities with Production Manager; may work with minimal supervision on routine work and receive detailed instructions on new assignments
