Examine E-Commerce, Gen Z Consumers at Brewbound Session Winter 2017

We’re just three weeks away from our next Brewbound Session, happening on Wednesday, November 29 in Santa Monica, Calif., and we’re excited to show off a first look at the agenda.

Featuring multiple presentations and panel discussions with the alcohol industry’s top thought leaders, we’ve designed the Winter 2017 event specifically to help serious beer industry professionals better understand and capitalize on the future of the category.

Hosted inside the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel (1700 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica, California) and attended by hundreds of brewery entrepreneurs, distributors, retailers and investors, the full-day conference will examine strategies for driving an increasingly more complex industry forward.

Ninkasi Brewing’s Nikos Ridge and Cheryl Collins will kick things off with a conversation about the value of teamwork, company culture, innovation and strategic investment for maturing craft breweries.

Immediately following that discussion, we’ll go online with Drizly co-founder Justin Robinson and Taylor Burton, the company’s vice president of strategic partnerships, who will provide an in-depth look at the future of e-commerce and share key insights into current online consumer purchasing behavior.

Generation Z consumers will first turn 21 in 2018. Lindsay Kunkle, the vice president of Kantar Futures, and Mike Kallenberger, the founder of Tropos Brand Consulting, will dive deep into the core values of that emerging demographic and provide a roadmap for reaching an entirely new set of drinkers.

Discussions with Total Wine & More, Constellation Brands and a trio of marketing experts are also planned.

And of course, there will be beer: Attendees of Brewbound Session will also be treated to a variety of ales at a welcome reception, hosted and sponsored by Santa Monica Brew Works, on Tuesday, November 28.

In addition to numerous sampling and networking opportunities over the course of two days, the Brewbound Session will also feature the ninth installment of the Startup Brewery Challenge, sponsored by Craft Brew Alliance. A hand-selected group of upstart craft brewers will compete for a chance to win $5,000 and a trip to Portland, Oregon to work with and learn from CBA.

Conference registration is available online.
