Brewbound is pleased to announce that Jim Koch, founder of the Boston Beer Company, will join the Brewbound Session as a keynote speaker. The event will take place on May 2 at the Revere Hotel in Boston.

Koch, who brewed the first batch of his company’s flagship Boston Lager on his kitchen stove in 1984, will share insights from 28 years of brewing innovation. In his address, Koch will discuss the importance of continued innovation in the craft beer segment and will explain how Boston Beer has been able to push style boundaries while maintaining the identity of a company known for producing consistent, quality products.

As an extension of Koch’s discussion on innovation, he’ll also discuss the Brewing The American Dream initiative, a micro-loan program that provides financial support and business coaching to innovative small business owners in the food and beverage, hospitality, and craft brewing industries.

Following his presentation, Koch will take part in a moderated question-and-answer session with the Brewbound audience.
