Schoen, a 28-year Anheuser-Busch veteran launched Brew Hub — a full-service contract craft brewing company — earlier this year. The company has announced plans to spend $100 million on building five new contract brewing facilities over the next five years.
During his talk, Schoen will provide a glimpse into the market research that led to the Brew Hub idea, sharing the company’s findings on the state of contract capacity. Throughout his presentation, Schoen will explain the opportunities and challenges for contract craft breweries, the decisions capacity-constrained brewers face when trying to grow their brands and how Brew Hub plans to serve what it perceives as the industry’s need for additional brewing space.
Following his presentation, Schoen and chief brewer, Paul Farnsworth, will join Brewbound editor Chris Furnari in a moderated question and answer session. The group will discuss the motivations behind growing a craft brand via Brew Hub’s sophisticated contract brewing business proposal.
The Brewbound Session, which will be held at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa, is a full-day conference for beer industry professionals. The event focuses on the strategic marketing, brand building and business development issues that most directly impact craft brewers. A variety of distribution, retail, investment and branding discussions are offered.
