SAN FRANCISCO – Ghirardelli Square, the historic San Francisco landmark that has reemerged as a vibrant urban destination, is pleased to announce that San Francisco Brewing Co. will open its first tap room and on-site brewery in the square’s West Plaza in spring 2018.
Following a successful pop-up beer garden in Ghirardelli Square this summer, the popular craft brewery will become a permanent tenant at the square, complete with a full-service restaurant, an outdoor patio, fire pits, fun group games, and more.
“It is a momentous occasion for us to open our first tap room,” said Josh Leavy, owner of San Francisco Brewing Co. “We are constantly motivated by San Francisco’s culture of innovation, so Ghirardelli Square — as an icon of the city, a major destination for locals and visitors, and a reminder of the city’s long history of craft entrepreneurship — is the ideal location for our flagship tap room.”
The new San Francisco Brewing Co. tap room at Ghirardelli Square will feature a full-service restaurant offering elevated American-style pub food and eight San Francisco Brewing Co. beers on draught, as well as a full bar serving a variety of spirits, craft cocktails, and local wines and ciders.
In addition to a spacious indoor seating area, the space will also offer guests a vast outdoor patio featuring comfortable lounge furniture and fire pits to gather around while enjoying San Francisco Brewing Co.’s easy-to-drink brews during the city’s colder weather.
For entertainment, guests will have access to fun bar games, such as a pool table, foosball tables, shuffleboard, Pop-A-Shot, and a number of TVs. Additionally, the brewery will serve as a multi-functional space for a variety of private parties and events.
