Stone Brewing Co.’s Cherry Chocolate Stout collaboration brew is proof that even a homebrew recipe can one day see the inside of a glass bottle or keg. For Kevin Sheppard and Jason Fields, they were hoping to enter the annual Stone Brewing homebrew competition as a way to get feedback on their beer. Now their recipe (only slightly tweaked) is being sold in in 12oz bottles everywhere Stone collaborations can be found. The Cherry Chocolate Stout pours a jet-black, motor oil color with a thick frothy head that quickly dissipates leaving almost no trace that it was ever present.
