Oskar Blues Brewery halted beer canning on August 29th to fill cans of water. 88,800 cans of fresh, safe water will arrive Friday, September 1, and 131,400 additional cans are set to be filled and shipped over the weekend.

The first trucks are estimated to arrive at these locations Friday, September 1 at 8am:

  1. San Antonio Food Bank: 5200 Enrique M Barrera Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78227
  2. Food Bank of Corpus Christi: 826 Krill Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78408

More than 131,400 additional cans are set to be filled at Oskar Blues Brewery in CO.

Catastrophic flooding from rainfall has left thousands without potable water, power or shelter. Oskar Blues Brewery with breweries in TX, CO and NC, together with the CAN’d Aid Foundation, have processed and prepared water to be distributed for disaster relief.

About Can’d Aid Foundation

Can’d Aid is a 501c3 started by Dale Katechis, founder of Oskar Blues Brewery, in 2013 following the Colorado flooding that devastated Lyons, CO, the hometown of Oskar Blues Brewery. What started as a response to the 2013 floods in ColoRADo has now raised more than $2,700,000 to support four program areas: Towns, Tunes, Treads + Trails and Love Yer Mama. 708,200 cans of water have been shipped to communities in need of safe drinking water such as Flint, MI, South Carolina and Louisiana since 2016. The foundation is a publicly funded non-profit and has evolved into an irreverent nonprofit focused on nation-wide “do-goodery.”
