Mate Veza Announces Newest Beer, Morpho Herbal Ale

Mate Veza Morpho Herbal AleSAN FRANCISCO, CA – Mate Veza, currently with just two styles of beer on the market, announced today plans to release their third beer, Morpho Herbal Ale.

“We are pleased to announce a new limited release called MateVeza Morpho Herbal Ale, an organic ale brewed with yerba mate, hibiscus flowers, and bay leaves,” writes Founder Jim Woods. “This new offering is our ode to the morpho butterfly of South America.”

Mate Veza adds EcoTeas air-dried yerba mate from Misiones Argentina during the mash process for all of their beers. The yerba mate adds natural caffeine to each brew.

The 0 IBU, Morpho Herbal Ale, features hints of tropical flora from hibiscus, lemony herbal notes of bay leaves, and an earthy dry yerba mate finish.

“This ale is pure rainforest refreshment,” writes Woods.

Morpho was brewed by MateVeza in Ukiah, California in collaboration with Mill Valley Beerworks.It will be available in 22oz bottles in California, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado with draft in select locations starting August 15.
