Good City Brewing Plans to Expand Taproom, Wins National Competition

Good City Wins National Competition; Seeks to Expand

Milwaukee, WI — Good City Brewing, a new production brewery and urban taproom on Milwaukee’s East Side, was crowned champion of Brewing News’ 2017 National Imperial IPA Championship.

Good City’s Reward Double IPA outlasted over 90 beers from some of the most respected breweries in the nation, including Comrade Brewing in the finals and the winners of the past two competitions (Melvin Brewing and Tamarack Brewing).

“To only be open 9 months and win a national competition in such a competitive category is a high honor,” says co-founder and brewmaster Andy Jones.

The major award comes on the heels of Good City securing financing to expand its taproom and add a rooftop patio in order to keep up with demand.  The expansion coincides with the arrival of a canning line that will allow launch of Reward cans around Milwaukee and Madison beginning this May.
