Brewbound Session: Discuss the Future of Beer with Constellation, Uinta Brewing and Total Wine & More

The Brewbound Session is just five days away, and there’s still time to reserve your seat for a front row look at the future of marketing and selling beer in an ever-expanding high-end marketplace.

Hosted inside the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel (1700 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica, California) and attended by hundreds of brewery entrepreneurs, distributors, retailers and investors, the full-day conference will examine strategies for driving an increasingly more complex industry forward.

In addition to previously announced discussions with Ninkasi Brewing, Drizly, Kantar Futures and Tropos Brand Consulting, we’ve pulled together executives from Constellation Brands, Uinta Brewing, Omnicom Media Group and Total Wine & More to give attendees a glimpse at the future of beer retailing.

The afternoon portion of Brewbound Session will feature a discussion with Constellation Brands’ CMO Jim Sabia and Marty Birkel, the president of the company’s craft and specialty division. Together, the pair will discuss the Constellation’s high-end growth strategy, lessons from the company’s two craft brewery acquisitions (Ballast Point and Funky Buddha) and their vision of the future beer landscape.

Also during the afternoon, executives from Total Wine & More will share a variety of retail insights, including trends across beer, wine, and spirits. Matt Bardill, the Total Wine’s senior manager of beer and Amanda Batchelet, the company’s category director of spirits, will dive head first into consumer purchasing behavior and discuss how they expect the brick and mortar retail environment to evolve as e-commerce sales grow.

Also on tap: a discussion with Omnicom Media managing director Darrell Jursa and Uinta Brewing CMO Jeremy Ragonese, who will provide attendees with an in-depth look at digital and influencer marketing strategies for emerging alcohol brands.

And of course, there will be beer: Attendees of Brewbound Session will also be treated to a variety of ales at a welcome reception, hosted and sponsored by Santa Monica Brew Works, on Tuesday, November 28.

In addition to numerous sampling and networking opportunities over the course of two days, the Brewbound Session will also feature the ninth installment of the Startup Brewery Challenge, sponsored by Craft Brew Alliance. A hand-selected group of upstart craft brewers will compete for a chance to win $5,000 and a trip to Portland, Oregon to work with and learn from CBA.

Conference registration is available online.
