ChattaBrew Tour Launches Brewery Tour Service

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Two Chattanooga couples have launched a tour service to teach fellow beer lovers about local craft brews.

Travis and Stacy Miller are partnering with Mike and Angela Ballard to promote the Scenic City’s growing beer scene through ChattaBrew Tour.

“On more than one occasion, Chattanooga has been voted the ‘Best Town Ever,’ and we think the city’s growing craft beer scene plays a big role in those accolades,” Travis Miller said. “Chattanooga has the potential to be a serious beer destination, and we want to help make that happen.”

On each ChattaBrew Tour, participants will take the “brew bus” to visit three different breweries over four hours, tasting signature brews and seasonal selections while they go behind the scenes to learn the art and science of the craft.

“You’ll also have time to grab a pint at each stop and even purchase crowlers and growlers to enjoy later,” Travis Miller explained.

Hutton & Smith Brewing Co., OddStory Brewing Co., Heaven & Ale Brewing Co. and Terminal Brewhouse were among the first breweries to join the tour. Chattanooga currently has 10 local breweries, and two additional producers are scheduled to open later this year. All of the city’s breweries are currently part of ChattaBrew Tour.

ChattaBrew Tour will rotate the breweries visited, and Mike Ballard said people can take a tour two weeks or even two days in a row and have a different experience each time.

Tours are $40 per person, and all participants must be 21 or older. Each tour begins and ends at Terminal Brewhouse, located at 1464 Market St.

Private tours are also available for corporate outings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays and other occasions for groups of 10 to 18 people.

The owners said they anticipate that the tours will be equally popular with locals and tourists.

“Chattanooga breweries are producing some really great beer these days, and even the established brewers are expanding their offerings,” Mike Ballard said. “There’s always something new to try, and something new to learn about the brewing process, too.”
