Cascade Brewing releases Framblanc 2015 in bottles and on draft

Portland, OR – Cascade Brewing Barrel House will release Framblanc 2015 in bottle and draft on Wednesday, March 2, at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House.

Framblanc is a blend of sour Blond and Triple ales aged in oak wine barrels for up to 15 months with locally grown white raspberries. Offering fresh flavors of raspberries, green grapes, white peaches and pears, this limited release marks the debut of the brewery’s white raspberry project in bottles. The beer comes in at 9.2% ABV.

Draft costs $7.50/glass or $2.50/taster, while 750ml bottles sell for $25.00 and are available at Cascade Brewing’s two Portland outlets: the Cascade Brewing Barrel House at 939 SE Belmont Street and Raccoon Lodge at 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy.

About Cascade Brewing Barrel House:

Tart, barrel-aged beers are the emerging beer style and Cascade Brewing is a pioneer of the NW style sour beer movement. We are, by nature, the definition of artisanal brewing: we’re not bound by stylistic guidelines, just our own imagination and the ingredients we can access. Our blending house currently houses more than 1,400 French oak, Kentucky Bourbon and Northwest wine barrels – plus nine foudres – filled with wheats, blonds, quads, reds, browns and porters that are aged and blended into magical elixirs. These beers have aggressive tart notes that are balanced by residual sugars, fruits, spices and the oak we use. We serve them all up for you at the Raccoon Lodge & Brew Pub in SW Portland, and at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House – aka House of Sour – in SE Portland, which features more than 24 rotating taps, with a predominantly sour lineup at any given time. We also offer a number of bottled products, all available at the source. We have received a number of medals from the Great American Beer Festival and a rare score of 100 on Beer Advocate, a world-class rating.
