Newcastle Launches Retail Variety Pack

New York, NY  – Newcastle Brown Ale, beloved by consumers around the world, announces the debut of a variety pack of truly authentic British beers brewed in collaboration with Caledonian Brewery, one of the oldest and most respected breweries in the U.K.

Newcastle’s new variety pack contains equal amounts of two definitive new styles from the brand – Newcastle British Pale Ale and Newcastle British Session IPA – along with perennial favorite Newcastle Brown Ale. Together, the three distinctly Newcastle offerings showcase the quality and depth of the Newcastle-Caledonian partnership and capitalize on the growing demand for variety among today’s adventurous LDA+ consumers.

“Consumers today want to expand their horizons and are open to trying new beer styles. Variety packs offer the perfect vehicle to introduce these curious consumers to new offerings from their favorite Brands,” said Brett Steen, Brand Manager, Newcastle Brown Ale,Heineken USA. “Our Newcastle Variety Pack exemplifies the superlative craftsmanship of the Caledonian Brewery while showcasing the distinctly No Bollocks style that is the hallmark of Newcastle.”

The Newcastle Variety Pack includes three distinct beer styles: newcomers Newcastle British Pale Ale (5.8% ABV, 39 IBUs), an ale with golden hue and an enhanced body, solid hop bitterness and a citrus finish; Newcastle British Session IPA (5.1% ABV, 45 IBUs), a mid-strength copper-hued ale that offers intricate hop nuances and incredible body complexity; and Newcastle Brown Ale (4.7% ABV, 18 IBUs), an auburn colored ale that offers a bread-like aroma, full malt flavors and a light buttery sweetness.

Steen added, “Newcastle’s new variety pack offers consumers the variety and quality they seek and retailers the opportunity to tap into the valuable Newcastle shopper who, according to Nielsen, shops more frequently, spends more per visit and generates higher basket rings and higher weekly true profit compared to top-selling craft brand shoppers. Our variety pack is poised to help retailers increase store traffic and improve their bottom line.”

Newcastle Variety Pack will be available beginning March/April in 12-pack format.
